The BarkulanHub team  hosted the second gathering of our Initiative Showcase Series, bringing together creative minds, innovative startups, and a vibrant community spirit. Here’s a recap of the highlights from this event:

Startup Presentations

Attendees explored ideas and innovative products presented by some of Somaliland’s most promising tech startups:

  1. Jimale Abdi (Co-founder ) – Hafide: Hafide is a cutting-edge platform designed to simplify everyday book-keeping tasks for Small businesses. Visit Hafide.

Abdiladif Mohamed (Founder)- ArdiPay: ArdiPay is a SAAS digital payment platform that offers secure and seamless transactions, bridging gaps in financial systems and making online payments accessible for parents and students.   3. Abdirahman (Founder)- ShaqoKoob: ShaqoKoob addresses employment challenges by connecting job seekers with employers through a streamlined network. It focuses on creating opportunities and simplifying the hiring process, fostering economic growth and reducing unemployment rates.

Networking Opportunities

The event provided an open platform to connect with founders, innovators, and like-minded professionals from diverse industries. This open networking space offered a relaxed environment where participants engaged in meaningful conversations, shared ideas, and had opportunities to build lasting relationships.

The purpose is to showcase how rapidly the tech industry in Somaliland is evolving and to celebrate as well as inspire the creativity and innovation of Somaliland youth. Through platforms like this, we aim to demonstrate to the world the incredible contributions our young minds are making to the global and Africa tech landscape.

With over 30 participants, including representatives from the response innovation lab and the Engineers Without Borders, the event was a success. Their presence and positive feedback highlighted the immense potential and achievements of our local tech community.
